Three Sisters

Chekhov’s classic play about the impossibility of hope, reduced from four hours and an ensemble of fourteen, to forty-five minutes, two men and a cake. An attempt to directly realize the impulse behind the original, drawing on diverse sources including clown, butoh, somatics, Shakespeare and Samuel Beckett.
Eric Meyer: “The perfect mix… to bring the subtlety of Chekhov’s piece into its absurd and broken proper light. Absolutely beautiful in conception… with an overall precision I haven’t seen in a while.”
